Jammu Kashmir Latest News: A terrorist attack took place in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday (April 17, 2024) evening. A non-local laborer lost his life in this attack. News agency PTI has confirmed this. The deceased has been identified as Raja Shah, a resident of Bihar.
According to the information, the terrorists had fired on Raja Shah from close range. He was hit by two bullets during the attack. One bullet hit his neck, while the other hit his stomach. He was immediately taken to the hospital in injured condition but he could not be saved there.

Ghulam Nabi Azad strongly condemned the terrorist attack
The area where the terrorists had targeted him has currently been cordoned off. Security forces are currently conducting a search operation to arrest the attackers. Meanwhile, former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) chief Ghulam Nabi Azad has strongly condemned the attack. He said that all this (terrorist activities) should stop. People want peace but terrorists do not want peace. We have to stand united against this.

Two suspected terrorists arrested in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir
Meanwhile, quoting the army, news agency PTI reported that two suspected terrorists were arrested from Anantnag on Wednesday. Arms and ammunition have been recovered from the possession of both. Army’s Chinar Corps in Srinagar said in a post on social media platform “Two suspects have been arrested and a weapon, a hand grenade and other material were seized from their possession.”
